Our third (wow!) meeting of the month at The Golf Club allowed us to host a speaker Joe Cowley, who came along to tell us about the history of the glass making industry in St Helens.
One or 2 of our members were taken back in time to to when they worked in or around the now demolished works where hot sand and other bits of technical stuff were drawn together to produce something you cant see!
A good speaker and convivial night enjoyed by all.
